1950s Bungalow

This was a solid bungalow that had no structural issues. We decided to create another bedroom and convert the garage. The property had a very poor layout and a dark corridor that needed reconfiguring. The aim was to make the most of its great location. The kitchen was moved from the front of the house to the back where a bi-fold door was installed leading onto patio areas and a newly landscaped south west facing private garden. The main living area was made open plan leading into the kitchen.

The final look was a contemporary one that included a pale grey gloss kitchen, integrated appliances and luxury vinyl click flooring. Energy efficient cream framed windows were installed throughout. The external rendering was removed and replaced with a subtle K Rend colour. The garden was fully landscaped which included the removal of some large trees thus creating a large front drive with ample parking space.

Highlights: When I first looked round it was a very neglected and unappealing property. Now it is unrecognisable. People commented that it looked like a new build, which is a great compliment as it means that the transformation was a success!
